Burke & Wills Winery is a small family run business in the Heathcote Wine Region, owned and operated by winemaker and music promoter Andrew Pattison and his wife Heather McCormack. We produce a wide range of quality wines with a focus on premium wines from our home vineyard, which have included the 2017 Premiers Award 2015 Vat 1 Shiraz.

Our Burke & Wills 2021 Vat 1 Shiraz won the Best Older Shiraz Trophy, and our 2017 Planters’ Blend won the Best Other Red Wine Trophy at last week’s Heathcote Wine Show.
And our 2025 Gewurztraminer also won Gold!
The ’21 Shiraz and ’25 Gwzt will not be released until the new year, but the previous vintages, both silver medal rated, are still available.
The 2017 Planters Blend is currently available ($25) and is a blend of all of our red wine varieties, Shiraz, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Other Red Wines Class consists mostly of blends which are not eligible for the single variety classes, such as Shiraz, Cabernet etc.

HOW TO GET THERE: Sat Nav Lat -37.047190, Lon 144.606172
From Melbourne. We are 101 kms NW of Melbourne and exactly one hour's drive from Tullamarine Airport via the Sunbury road and Lancefield. 2 kms north of Lancefield bear left on to The Burke & Wills Track (bitumen) which is also the Lancefield to Mia Mia road, and we are 29.5 kms up that road on the left.
From Bendigo or Castlemaine. We are approx 40 to 45 minutes from both Bendigo and Castlemaine, via Redesdale and Mia Mia, which is 5 kms from Redesdale on the Heathcote Road. In Mia Mia look for the 'Lancefield 34' sign which is The Burke & Wills Track, and we are 7 kms down on the right.
From Heathcote it is approx 17 kms to Mia Mia, on the Kyneton road, and look for the 'Lancefield 34' sign on your left. From Kyneton head towards Redesdale and Heathcote for 17 kms and look for Watchbox Road on your right at the top of a little hill at the end of a 2km straight stretch of road. Go right to the end of Watchbox Road (11 kms approx) to Glenhope and turn left on to The Burke & Wills Track towards Mia Mia and we are 4.5 kms on the left.
