Burke & Wills enjoys a Golden Weekend ....

Saturday July 31st 2015 ...

Burke & Wills Winery was the second most successful exhibitor at the 2015 Saint Martin Heathcote Wine Show (Chairman of judges Tim Kirk of Clonakilla Winery), winning nine medals across the range of wines, including Burke & Wills 2015 Gewurztraminer and 2013 Shiraz, both Vat 1 and Vat 2, Mr. Burke's Favourite Big Red (Shiraz) 2014, Dig Tree Viognier 2014, Dig Tree Merlot 2012, Dig Tree Cabernets 2012 and a gold medal for Burke & Wills The Aristocrat Cabernet Merlot 2013.

On the same day the 2016 James Halliday Wine Companion was released, with Burke & Wills Winery retaining a 41/2 star rating, and a 5 glass (gold medal equivalent) rating and 95 points for the 2013 Vat 1 Shiraz, cited by Halliday as 'Heathcote at its best'.

join us and approx. 40 other Heathcote wineries for two great days at the Heathcote Showgrounds .... a stunning array of wines, lots of great food, and diverse entertainment for both adults and children.

October 30th - November 2nd ....THE MALDON FOLK FESTIVAL
Our Troubadour Wine Bar will once again be one of the premier venues at the festival, which this year has a brand new look with ALL venues being in the town, including ours in a beaut sheltered and grassy little park just between the Museum and the Football Oval.

Andrew is also a music festival director and music promoter, who keeps The Troubadour flame alive by running a mobile version of the venue as a prominent but intimate marquee venue at several of eastern Australia's top folk festivals.

Directions to Burke & Wills Winery: Burke and Wills Winery is 101 kms. NW of Melbourne and 31 kms. out of Lancefield via the Burke & Wills Track (sealed road), in Coombes Lane, 3155 Burke & Wills Track, Mia Mia. Melway 609 G6, Vic Roads Country directory 60 B2. From Melbourne via the Tullamarine Freeway, Melbourne Airport, Bulla, Romsey, drive straight through Lancefield continuing north for 2 kms. and bear left onto Burke & Wills Track (to Baynton and Mia Mia) just after Mustey's Bridge. From there it is approx. 29 kms. to Coombes Lane, which is 4.5 kms. after Watchbox Road, and 1.5 kms. after Haires Lane and Buntings Lane. (you will also pass Knights' Granite Hills Winery (worth a stop!) a little over half way along the track.)
